As quilters, my sister and I are always embarking on a journey of exploration and diving into new techniques to challenge our creativity and expand our skills. We love experimenting with color palettes and mixing traditional and new patterns to see what we can come up with. So imagine our excitement as we learned of a great quilt show in Grand Rapids, Michigan sponsored by The American Quilter’s Society (AQS) and the opportunity to learn new techniques and tips and tricks!

Marie and I waited impatiently for the opening date of registration (it was actually circled on each of our calendars!), and when the day finally arrived, we spent a couple of hours talking on the phone to discuss the classes we wanted to take, looking through the menu of classes offered, and registering for the classes of our choice. We are filled with excitement at the prospect of connecting with fellow crafters and quilt enthusiasts, sharing our passions, creativity, and inspiring stories that weave us together in this vibrant community.

We would love to hear from quilt enthusiasts about some of the best shows you have attended and what you liked most.

In the meantime, we have to prepare for the classes in August. More to come about this!
